Learning Journal 2 WEB Technology Reflection

 I have learned from Module 2

More on how the internet affects the world, more on URLs, website addresses, how to record a video, and the evolution on network. 

The internet used everywhere for medical healthcare, for school/college, jobs, businesses, etc. I didn't understand before how important the internet was for the world but now, I know that without it there will be a dramatical change for healthcare, school/college, jobs, businesses, etc.

Social Impacts 2

I really didn't know what URLs were when I first introduce to them from this class. I was confused until I was studying and learning to take my Q3.


By making a recording a video I learned how to Camtasia and will use for other classes as well.



By the evolution of network of 5G, 4G, 3G, 2G, & 1G.







On the history and different ways, the internet is connecting to devices like DSL, Fiber Optics wired, Satellite wireless, & Wireless.

The google chrome tutorial helped me learn more about chrome and record my own tutorial video.


I put a good effort into this module and think I did a little better on participation by looking at the slideshows and all the videos in Khan Academy. I keep proving my participation to keep study well on quizzes coming up in the module and commenting on other students work when needed to.

The four terms and definitions I learned from this module were from the slideshow(s).

1. Hyper-Text Markup Language (HTML) - HTML is the standard coding language used to create web documents

2. Baseband - allows one channel at a time

3. Ports -

  • Numbers used to address software or services running on a computer so that the process (service running on a host) can be found by TCP/IP

  • Socket-the combination of IP address and port number

4. TCP (Transmission Control Protocol) -

  • Responsible for breaking up and reassembling data into packets and routing them to their destination. 

  1. Establishes a connection from host to host before it begins transmitting data

         3. Guarantees Delivery

   I have learned from Module 7 This is the last learning journal in the final module for my Intro to Web Technology class. By using WIX to make a one-page website was easy but also overwhelming at first until I saw  all 9 lessons on using WIX . It was actually really fun and really cool to make my own first website. Learning Journal 1 WEB Technology Reflection

I have learned from Module 1 I used Canva for my presentation on an internet topic of 5G Technology.  5G by Emma Niver On the history on the Internet: World Wide Web is a place for all users to share, search info, etc. The timeline on when each app was created About each creator who created a media app   By figuring out how the class works we did one zoom meeting for the syllabus. Then getting into a module with assignments and prerecorded videos for us to watch. Some trouble I had was trying to find time to finish the assignments in the module on top of my other classes. As I keep using Brightspace it has become easier to navigate my assignments, classes, tests, etc. For reminders I will get notifications from my phone for the pulse app, Gmail, and writing it down on my planner for assignments. Learning Journal 4 WEB Technology Reflection

  I have learned from Module 4 About how to google search like a pro, spot out fake news, & learning a little on the dark web. By learning how to search like a pro I watched many videos in the slideshow, it really made me learn how to search better. Learning on the dark web I watch this video from the slideshow.  I also learned on the  other webs from this picture . Media Literacy Break the Fake Quiz Spot out fake news is still difficult for me, but this module made me learn how to spot fake news better. I played this quiz and watch two videos from slideshow  to help me understand better. We also did a discussion which made me understand how I would  use this knowledge to the real world and how to understand how fake news can affect people. People that are close to you can be tricked by fake news, friends , teachers , etc .     My muddiest point in this module was the WL 5 + 7 . I had a tricky time with them, needed some help on those assignments...
