Learning Journal 7 WEB Technology Reflection

  I have learned from Module 7

This is the last learning journal in the final module for my Intro to Web Technology class.

By using WIX to make a one-page website was easy but also overwhelming at first until I saw all 9 lessons on using WIX. It was actually really fun and really cool to make my own first website. Now I have a final project to finish yay!!! NOT excited to read information in the sites.   🙁😑😒

Also learning more on good and bad websites design was really interesting. The one link in slideshow part 1 Coolors.co-color palette generator on viewing colors is so fun and most of the color combinations were pretty. Especially looking at them colorblind eyes sometimes.

Three takeaways from this module:

  • The websites should have consistent colors and fonts
  • They make web accessibilities on websites for disability people
  • You need to plan for your own website like pictures, videos, information, colors, font, idea of website, etc.

My participation in this module was as good 

as the last module I did. Nothing changed that much. 


Overall thoughts on this class are that I learned so much in the class and had so much fun. Many of the assignments I did were very engaging and fun at the same time, I wish every class in college was like this one. I loved not having to go to class every time on a day or two days a week and was awesome to be online. It made my learning experience at a nice pace I liked. There were not so many assignments which relieved me so I can also focus on my other classes. This was a great class and definitely made me learn new tools if needing to use for my future job.

Some feedback is you should tell us if we need to make accounts on our school email or our own email, I wasn't sure when making the accounts, so I mixed it up a bit with school and my own email but mostly used my own email. Like for Camtasia, Canva, Animoto, Wix, and My Blog. Could you also update the Wix steps which is Steps 2 & 4 in Wix Slideshow they're a little outdated and was confused for a bit when doing the two steps for the first time.

I have learned from Module 1 I used Canva for my presentation on an internet topic of 5G Technology.  5G by Emma Niver On the history on the Internet: World Wide Web is a place for all users to share, search info, etc. The timeline on when each app was created About each creator who created a media app   By figuring out how the class works we did one zoom meeting for the syllabus. Then getting into a module with assignments and prerecorded videos for us to watch. Some trouble I had was trying to find time to finish the assignments in the module on top of my other classes. As I keep using Brightspace it has become easier to navigate my assignments, classes, tests, etc. For reminders I will get notifications from my phone for the pulse app, Gmail, and writing it down on my planner for assignments. Learning Journal 4 WEB Technology Reflection

  I have learned from Module 4 About how to google search like a pro, spot out fake news, & learning a little on the dark web. By learning how to search like a pro I watched many videos in the slideshow, it really made me learn how to search better. Learning on the dark web I watch this video from the slideshow.  I also learned on the  other webs from this picture . Media Literacy Break the Fake Quiz Spot out fake news is still difficult for me, but this module made me learn how to spot fake news better. I played this quiz and watch two videos from slideshow  to help me understand better. We also did a discussion which made me understand how I would  use this knowledge to the real world and how to understand how fake news can affect people. People that are close to you can be tricked by fake news, friends , teachers , etc .     My muddiest point in this module was the WL 5 + 7 . I had a tricky time with them, needed some help on those assignments...
